- classified here as a Colonial envelope because it does not have an Interim format;
- not classified as being URGENT - despite the strong possibility from it being printed on pink paper - because the word URGENT is missing;
- SA had not implemented an URGENT telegram service while a Colony. Perhaps the envelope may have been printed after 1901 when an Urgent rate was introduced in Australia;
- has IMMEDIATE in the lower left corner;
- Crest has both the Lion and the Unicorn facing away from the shield.
Distinctive characteristics of this form:
- centre line "Received..." ends with "message";
- line above sender details ends with "Tasmania".
