South Australia.
Delayed/Detained message markings.

The hand stamps below show the Detained/Delayed message in its various forms as used in South Australia during:

The Colonial period.

The Interim Period.

SIDO5A SI-DO-5A.

Redhill to Wallaroo.
7 March 1918.

DELAYED AT BUTE
in manuscript.

But with a reason! The telegraphic message was sent from Redhill via Snowtown, Bute and Kadina to be delivered at Wallaroo.

The problem is identified as being a "Hot Box" at Bute.

A very informative annotation.
