- date starts with "186_";
- of the five lines in the heading, only the lines for "Wds" and "Amt" are aligned at the left side;
- in the Crest, the animals are oriented away from each other but looking back. The lion is shown with a very long face. Both animals are close to the ground. (see detail below).

Sydney to Brisbane.
The telegram message was long in that the charge was for 50 words. In addition, the cost of 19s 4d was a very significant amount of money in the 1860s. Often such an amount would be charged to the recipient through the system of a Collect telegram. Perhaps Judges were paid handsomely even in those days :) |
