- The docket below introduced a different approach to recording the fact that a delivery docket had been left for a recipient. If no-one had been in attendance, the telegram was brought back to the Telegraph Office rather than being left in the letter-box (or under a door).
It is a book from which a docket could be torn but a record was recorded on the stub which was retained in bound form.
Distinctive characteristics of this form:
- centre line "Received..." ends with "message";
- line above sender details ends with "Tasmania".
