The first six formats for delivery forms issued by Victoria had the title "BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH".

An additional ten formats were issued with the heading Post Office Telegraphs. Use the link to access these.

  • BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH;
  • only two wordsfor information - "Dated" and "Message for";
  • Date begins "185";
  • printed on grey paper;

CV-DO-1

 

VC-DO-2:

  • BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH;
  • only two words for information - "Dated" and "Message for" but more space than for form 1;
  • Date begins "186";
  • printed on thick blue paper;

  • BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH and crest are more elongated than previously;
  • heading has an additional two lines of instruction "The following despatch...";
  • Date begins "186";
  • printed on greyish paper;

  • "Telegram for " is printed in gothic script
  • Date begins "186";
  • printed on blue paper;
