Davies, D. and Rigo De Righi, A. (1982) Victoria: The Emergency cancellations updated, Philately From Australia, December, 78-86. A very complete review of the Belt and Buckle usage as well as the associated "Money Order and Savings Bank" cancellations.
Kellow, G. (1990) The Stamps of Victoria. A comprehensive documentation of all issues and printing details compiled together with details of essays, proofs and related topics including Revenue stamps and postal stationery.
Premier Postal Auctions.   Although not a conventional reference, this site has a massive amount of material about date stamps (albeit mainly postal). Excellent and very comprehensive.
McGowan, Samuel Walter Australian Dictionary of Biography. Superintendent of Telegraphs in Victoria and constructor of Australia's first telegraph line.
Watson, G., Webster, J. and Wood, D. (1989) The Post Offices and Hand-held Datestamps of Victoria, Tullamarine: WWW Philatelic Publishers. Vols 1 and 2.
A detailed description of all the hand stamps used at Victorian Post Offices whose name begins with the letters A through G. So massive an analysis that, unfortunately, time constraints from busy schedules prevented the continuation of the work.
