General characteristics:

Heading and notes:	No form number. TELEGRAM. in red.
Message area:	Two lines of text for recording information about "Charges to Pay" in the lower left corner.
Reverse side:	Early printings had an ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH seal on flap in red.
Colours (text & envelope):	Red on cream but later brown paper.
Size of envelope overall:	79 × 136 mm.

Distinctive characteristics of the form:

heading on the front is TELEGRAM. but without the fancy border;
first printings had the printed seal with NEW SOUTH WALES/ ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH on reverse;
the seal (when present) has no colour in the inner oval.
later printings without the seal are probably the beginning of the Commonwealth issues.

NI-EO-1A.

Characteristics:
Text on the front is direct printed in red;

NI-EO-1A (reverse side).

Characteristics:

seal is printed on the flap in red;

has reference to NEW SOUTH WALES;

flap has a rounded peak and curved sides.

NI-EO-1B (reverse side).
Used at Wagga Wagga on 8 July 1920.

Characteristics:

front is the same as for NI-EO-1A;

no seal on flap on reverse side.

NI-EO-1C.
Used at Wagga Wagga on 28 July 1920.

Later printings were made on brown paper.
