Used at Strathalbyn (possibly by Mr. Waddy) for sending a telegram received at Strathalbyn o 11 November 1861 to Miss Sarah Gray at Brighton - which at that time had no Telegraph Office. On the front:
The Strathalbyn Telegraph Office opened on 29 June 1860 while the Brighton Telgraph Office did not open until 26 September 1880. |
