The last word in the message area is REPLY.
The cost of the 16 word message for local delivery was 5/- instead of the anticipated 2/6.
Hence the cost of the reply to be sent by Rev. Adams was prepaid by Mr. Little, the sender.
Interim period use of the REPLY PAID annotation.

Used at Nanango on 19 July 1911.
There are serrations at the base of the form allowing the message in reply to be written and transmitted back to the origin of the form - GPO Brisbane.
The total cost paid was 2/-. This amount covered:
the cost of 11d for the original 18 words message shown (including the three words in the address and two for the signature); the cost for the reply (up to 1/1) for address, signature and 19 words.
